Lines from Literature I dream of using as a teacher

“Tell your story walking.” —I first read this in Motherless Brooklyn and later heard the phrase in Wu-Tang’s “Triumph”.  I can not imagine a better comeback to a whining teenager or  teacher.

“Blister thy tongue.” is from Romeo and Juliet.  I’ve often thought one of the best pieces of evidence for successfully teaching Shakespeare would be the organic appearance of Shakespearean language in kids’ conversations in and outside of classs.

Any additions to this list?
